Transport as infrastructure
An electric car is closer to a piece of managed infrastructure than to a traditional vehicle. It has a firmware version, a release channel, telemetry, an account attached to it, and a manufacturer who can change how it behaves without asking. Some of that is genuinely excellent and some of it is worth thinking about carefully.
The practical side is simpler than people expect. It charges overnight at home, it leaves every morning with more range than a commute needs, and the maintenance list is short enough to be memorized: tires, cabin filter, brake fluid, wiper blades.
What replaces fuel stops is planning, and what replaces engine servicing is paying attention to battery health and tire wear.

Configuration
Waiting on detail Range, battery capacity, acceleration and charging rates all differ substantially between Tesla models, model years and trims. Rather than publish figures that might describe a different car, this section stays empty until the exact configuration is confirmed. Nothing here is guessed.

Efficiency
Consumption tracked over time rather than per trip. Weather, tire pressure and driving style all move the number more than anything the car does on its own.

Real cost
Cost per mile from actual electricity rates, not from a manufacturer estimate. Tires are the running cost people underestimate on a heavy, torquey car.
